How it works
From registration to results
Casting your vote records two separate facts, kept in two separate places that are never joined: that you voted, and what was chosen. Nothing in the system — not even an EC admin — can ever match the two back together.
Where you actually study — this isn't guessed from your email.
Used only to determine gender-reserved seats.
Subject to EC verification — used for hostel-reserved seats.
Nominations
Getting on the ballot
- ✓Nominate any eligible member for a seat — picked by ID from a filtered list, never typed by name.
- ✓The person who nominates becomes the nomination's first backer automatically.
- ✓A nomination needs 5 distinct eligible backers before it qualifies — the nominee themselves doesn't count toward that total.
- ✓If a seat gets no nominations, the Electoral Committee can handpick an eligible member instead — bypassing the backer rule, but never the eligibility or acceptance requirements, and only with a recorded two-thirds vote of the committee.

Already nominated by someone else? Back them instead — a nomination qualifies once 5 distinct members have backed it, and you can still back it even after that.
Voting
A ballot that's actually secret
Casting your vote records two separate facts, kept in two separate places that are never joined: that you voted, and what was chosen. Nothing in the system — not even an EC admin — can ever match the two back together.
- Every eligible seat is one screen: pick a candidate, or abstain, then submit once.
- An uncontested seat becomes a simple yes/no confirmation vote.
- You can vote exactly once per election — trying again is blocked.
- Your confirmation shows that your vote was counted — never what it said.
